We all know the tale. We live it, you and me, although I am unaware of whether you fight or flow with it - The death and rebirth cycle (metaphorically and somewhat literally at times). We may find ourselves in one or the other or in the inbetween.
At the beginning of 2023 I started having dreams of my face disintegrating, becoming nothing, in ways that were phobic to me. They were quite disturbing, but I knew the meaning so it didn’t frighten me. Besides the fact that I am quite the dream translation enthusiast, I had a sense, a knowing, that my then identity and ego was falling away into different versions. Metaphorical parts of me were dying. I’m learning that ‘the process’ is rarely overnight. Archetypes that come to me with this process are; The Phoenix, Kali Ma and Lilith. I have been swimming in their archetypes whether I have wanted to or not. I’ve had to rise and roar over and over again and I am learning that speaking your fiery truth and glowing in your boundaries is obviously not easy but also rarely a one time thing…so, remember, reclaim and stand strong. The Phoenix rising from the ashes is also directly connected to the planet, Pluto. The planet of REBIRTH and POWER.
In mid December 2023 fires raged on the mountains at the southern tip of Africa, my home, I even packed an evacuation bag. The fire slithered like a golden snake for 4 days, leaving sparkling ash in her wake. I could smell the burning impepho. Fire brings it’s death and my heart aches for the animals and homes while on the other side of it I know new life can now spring from it.
A new wave of gratitude for the firefighters has washed over my heart (and I’m not just talking about them literally, they come in many forms, especially with those fighting to cease fire on the ground at this time) but I do want to formally thank them for their hard work, dedication and perseverance, thank you, warriors.
MAY MANY PHOENIX' RISE RISE RISE FROM THE ASHES.
